JoshShainin.com is constantly growing, so more material will be added below as more exciting features appear at JoshShainin.com. Enjoy the ride through history, and get ready for much more history to be made here, at JoshShainin.com.
Summer 1999: The early beginnings of JoshShainin.com. Hosted on AOL's server, the web site had very basic content based on the Denver Broncos, essays I had written, and a guestbook, with all HTML code generated using Print Shop Deluxe.
January 2001: JoshShainin.com moves from AOL's server to AT&T's server, as I get rid of AOL for AT&T, which provides MUCH better ping times for online games such as Madden Football. Still use AT&T today, and am not thinking about switching any time soon. Also start coding in Microsoft FrontPage, allowing a rapid expansion of web pages and content.
Summer 2001: JoshShainin.com moves around from AT&T's server to Tripod's server to Geocities' server, trying to maximize features, web space, and bandwidth, while sticking with a free provider. Additional features include a customized favorites icon and FrontPage Extension pages.
November 20th, 2001: JoshShainin.com finally gets its own shared hosting at 123ehost, increasing web space, bandwidth, and functionality to its visitors.
July 2nd, 2002: JoshShainin.com moves to Lunarpages, due to a massive increase in visitors and bandwidth. The major increase in web space and bandwidth allows JoshShainin.com to keep all of its Tiger Woods golf course downloads on the JoshShainin.com server, increasing downloading speed and reliability, and this switch of web hosts will really help to prevent the downtime experienced at the end of June, 2002.
August 1st, 2002: eMenuTree functionality added to JoshShainin.com. What does this mean? Easier navigation and another means for finding exactly what you want at JoshShainin.com. Where is the eMenuTree? At the top of most of the main pages at JoshShainin.com, including this one.
February 22, 2003: JoshShainin.com 2K3 production begins. New Flash animation and dynamic elements create an intensely powerful and creative section to the web site.
July 7, 2003: JoshShainin.com moves to iPowerWeb, to test its different features and to compare it to Lunarpages
February 23, 2004: JoshShainin.com moves back to Lunarpages, as iPowerWeb was down too often, had too many bugs, and didn't have the customer support Lunarpages has. Also, additional web site productions (KeepJudgeMichaelVigil.com, SweetSimple.com, HeadwayDesigns.com) start taking place.
August 23, 2004: While HeadwayDesigns.com design has been stalled, KeepJudgeMichaelVigil.com and SweetSimple.com have flourished, and on this day, the addition of another venture -- LohmanMotors.com -- has taken place.
October 15, 2005: Needing an overhaul, JoshShainin.com undergoes a facelift. Most old material remains intact, but the main format of the web site and major sections of the web site are improved, with better music, graphics, organization, and overall feel.
More history to come, so stay tuned to JoshShainin.com...
