According to the Charlotte Observer, Smith underwent surgery on his broken left leg Tuesday. He's going to miss a significant part of the season, but coach John Fox wouldn't say he's gone for the whole year. "He's not out for the season, but anything after that or short of that, I don't know," Fox said. "But it's not season ending at this point."

Rogers, Charles
Player News
Charles Rogers will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken collarbone in the first quarter of Sunday's game at Chicago. X-rays revealed a fracture near the location he suffered a similar injury a year ago. "He's very disappointed," head coach Steve Mariucci said. "I told him that's he not to blame. He's 23 and he's got a lot of football ahead of him."
