2004 Season
Fantasy News (2004-09-14):
| Smith, Steve |
According to the Charlotte Observer, Smith underwent surgery
on his broken left leg Tuesday. He's going to miss a significant part
of the season, but coach John Fox wouldn't say he's gone for the whole
year. "He's not out for the season, but anything after that or short of
that, I don't know," Fox said. "But it's not season ending at this point."

| Rogers, Charles |
Charles Rogers will miss the rest of the season after suffering a
broken collarbone in the first quarter of Sunday's game at Chicago. X-rays
revealed a fracture near the location he suffered a similar injury a year
ago. "He's very disappointed," head coach Steve Mariucci said. "I told
him that's he not to blame. He's 23 and he's got a lot of football ahead
of him."

Mariucci added that Rogers will have surgery either later this week
or early next week and will be placed on injured reserve. With Rogers
sidelined, Roy Williams will now assume the role as the team's No. 1 receiver.
Az-Zahir Hakim and Tai Streets will also move up the depth chart and are
worth using in larger Fantasy leagues.
