Shainin Putt Putt V1.0
Course Documentation
Thanks for your interest in Shainin Putt Putt! It's time to put away the bag and test your putting skill on 18 holes of putting terror. However, then again, this is putt-putt, so above all, have fun!
Course Description: Simply put, surrounded by towering buildings, in the middle of a bustling city, lies Shainin Putt Putt -- 18 holes that will test your putting skill. Wicked slopes and breaks will give you a different challenge from "normal" golf.
Tips For Playing Well On Shainin Putt Putt:
1. Don't Trust The Putting Grid All The Time: Because of the extremity of some of the breaks and the smallness of the putting greens, sometimes the putting grid "lies" to you, giving you incorrect break or over/under-exaggerating the break. If you use a putting grid, try to use one that has small squares, but if you can, try to tell the break simply by reading the green shadows and how it looks it should break.
2. Don't Forget The Ball Starts On A Tee: This doesn't matter on most of the holes, but some holes like 7, where the ball is sitting up on a tee that will bounce into an upslope, will make the ball bounce, affecting distance. In the case of hole 7, you probably need to hit the ball much harder than you think, because of that bouncing into the slope, instead of simply running up the slope.
3. Tiger Woods 99: Try to avoid the walkway as much as possible, as it is extremely fast, normally producing really bad results. One exception: Hole 4. On hole 4, it is probably easier just aiming at the hole instead of using the slope. However, on most of the other holes, try to avoid the walkway, meaning playing conservative putts that at least stay on the green.
4. Tiger Woods 2000/2001: The walkway isn't nearly as severe in TW2000/2001 as it is in TW99; in fact, it normally stops the ball pretty good. This means that putts can usually be more aggressive. However, if you do end up on the walkway, sometimes the ball, on your next shot, won't come out straight where you aimed, even if you hit your swing-meter marks perfectly. Therefore, use your judgment whether or not you will be better off playing an aggressive putt that may end up on the walkway, or playing conservative.
Known Bugs:
If you decide you want to hit a full shot instead of a putt, the game sometimes crashes. If you end up in a position that you really need to hit a full shot instead of a putt, I would use a flop shot, because the game seems to crash less doing so. However, this is putt-putt, so you really shouldn't have to hit a club besides your putter the entire round.
Shainin Putt Putt should provide you a quick, fun round, much different than most other rounds of golf. Therefore, if you've had a rough day, and just want to relax, try Shainin Putt Putt, and enjoy!
